Isle of Inishmore
Rosslare / Pembroke
If you want to travel in style you won’t be disappointed with the Isle of Inishmore. It is one of Europe’s largest, well equipped, most modern car ferries and on board you’ll discover a wide range of environments in which to relax and enjoy yourself including the Club Class lounge. |
|
We’re here to help you make the very most of your trip.
Built in Rotterdam, the Isle of Inishmore took 15 months to construct at a cost of €80 million. She entered service on 4th October 1996 on the Dublin Holyhead route and crosses the Irish Sea four times a day.
Isle of Inishmore, which is Irish for “Big Island”, is just like a populated island, and as such offers all the facilities and amenities that people expect. Everything from heating, lighting, water, sewage and refuse collection to entertainment, food and drink has to be meticulously planned and monitored to ensure standards are maintained.
7 miles / 11.26km of electrical cables, some of which are connected to over five hundred light fittings in passenger areas alone, give us the power needed to run this small island. Our primary navigational system is also top notch and uses up to eight satellites to fix our position to within 33ft/10m.
